I am liking Once & Future so much that I had to look back through all of the Kieron Gillen comics I’ve read to see if there’s anything I’ve had more fun reading. Wic/Div is probably a better comic but it’s not as fun as this is. It’s fast, it’s action packed, it’s funny, and it blends horror and mythology like a good Hellboy comic. Gillen is in his wheelhouse.
Dan Mora’s pencils are similarly on point. The action just absolutely draws me in and there’s a ton of it in each issue. Tamra Bonvillain is coloring her ass off. The combination of line work and colors that the art team uses for Arthur is chef’s kiss.
What a fun series. I can’t wait to read more.
