Book Review – Avengers: Infinity Prose Novel by James A. Moore

This is the prose novelization adaption of the Infinity storyline that ran in Avengers about a decade ago. I enjoyed that story so I gave this a shot in audiobook form. It's one of the more faithful adaptations of a comic story that I've experienced. It's comprehensive and preserves almost all of the original story. And it's a good story for me.

Comics Review – Dragon Hoops by Gene Luen Yang

Well I loved this. I'd been putting off reading this for no real good reason. It's been at the library available for most of the past year and I've really liked Yang's previous original graphic novels. Based on the name and cover I was vaguely aware Dragon Hoops had something to do with basketball. I love basketball…it's one of the few things I love as much as reading.

Comics Review: Freedom Fighters by Robert Venditti, Eddy Barrows, and Adriano Lucas

★★★★★ I usually come into these based-on-little-known material event series from DC and Marvel with pretty low expectations because they're usually awful. Freedom Fighters isn't awful! Best Comics of 2020

It's the end of the year, which means it's time for top ten lists! It was a bad year, but it was a good year for comics. It took me forever to whittle down my list of favorites, but below you can find my top ten (in no particular order) comics/graphic novels/manga that were released in 2020 and plenty of honorable mentions!
